2. Hosting and server log files
This website runs on a server provided on our behalf by an IT service provider (data processing on behalf of the controller pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). The server is located in the European Union.
Each time the website is accessed, the web server automatically stores the following data in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- requested page or file, HTTP status code and amount of data transferred
- browser and operating system used (user agent)
This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (e.g. to fend off attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and error-free operation of the website. Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest unless they are required to investigate a specific security incident.
3. Encrypted transmission
For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption (recognisable by “https://” and the padlock symbol in the browser's address bar).
4. Cookies and browser storage
We set no cookies during a normal visit. If you select the dark theme using the switch in the header, this choice is stored only locally in your browser (local storage, entry “theme”) so that it is kept for your next visit. This storage is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG) and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Only in the password-protected administration area (for practice staff) are technically necessary cookies set for login and protection against attacks (session and CSRF cookie) (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
5. Contacting us
If you contact us by phone, fax or e-mail, we process your details to handle your request, e.g. to make an appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures / treatment contract) and – where health data are concerned – Art. 9 (2) (h) GDPR in conjunction with § 22 BDSG. These data are subject to medical confidentiality and are deleted in accordance with statutory retention periods.
Please note: our e-mail address is not intended for communication or for sending medical results. Unencrypted e-mails can be read by third parties in transit; please do not send us health data by e-mail.
6. Links to external services (Google Maps)
For directions, we link to Google Maps. This is a simple link – Google Maps is not embedded in our website. Only when you click the link are you forwarded to Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), where Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Your data are only passed on to service providers who support us in operating the website (hosting, technical maintenance) and who are contractually bound pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. We do not transfer data to countries outside the European Union.
8. Your rights
You have the right at any time to
- access the data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg
Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany

9. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated or as required by statutory retention periods (e.g. § 630f BGB, § 10 professional code).
10. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR) takes place.
11. Obligation to provide data
You are not obliged to provide personal data in order to visit the website. However, without the technically necessary connection data (section 2) the website cannot be delivered.
